Easy DIY Deep Conditioning for Natural Hair....

My hair MUST eat... and I mean it literally...

Hello Beauties,

So today is another day for a hair post, yaaaaay! I know I've been slacking in this department, forgive me. I decided to share my easy peasy diy deep conditioning with you all.

Here we go..

  • 1 large or 2 small size banana
  • 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp pure honey
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise

I slice the banana into small pieces and pop into the blender, then I add all the other ingredients and blend thoroughly making sure there are no lumps left. Once the mixture is very soft and lump free, I apply it on my wet hair, cover with a shower cap and leave it to for a least 30mins. When the time is up, I take out the shower cap and rinse out thoroughly.

I usually follow up with my twist out or braid out and cover my hair with a satin bonnet before i go to bed.

The good thing about home made deep conditioning products it that, it;s easy to make and allows you even understand your hair better, and it's also it doesn't cost so much.

My next hair post would be how I define my curls, I remember one reader specifically asked for that.

Who else is into home made products for their hair? Please share with us....

  1. I use home made products 2 protein DC and moisturizing DC...bt honestly I avnt been feeding ma hair 4 sum tym nw..d hair jst taya me..lol!! Its alwys formin dis round knot infront...am jst so temptd 2 blow it out wif texturizer or sumfin...#God help me

    1. I have never had that feeling of applying chemicals to my hair again, my hair is so so soft, i don' t even need need texturizer. As for the round knots its forming in front, you may need edge control for that or even hair gel. i use eco styler for my edges and it works fine.

      Thanks for stopping by...

  2. I think my hair should equally partake in this.

  3. I have been using this since you introduced it to me!!!! Thank you Doyin!

  4. How often do u do dis?? My TWA is sooo thick and stubborn!! I nid that ur soft hair. Hav u always had soft hair or did it get soft over time?? If yes, how did u achieve it?? This is my biggest challenge in this journey. I have to wear conditioners over night, every night just so I can comb it the next morning!!!
