Review: L.A Girl Glazed Lip Paint | Bombshell& Hot Mess

As you may be aware, I am a hardcore lipstick girl but when I heard L.A Girl was coming out with their lip lacquers, I instantly knew there was going to be a buzz about it.

I was sent these new babies from Yanga Beauty to use and review on the blog.

Described as a bright fucshia

Described as a medium coral

Yanga Beauty is an online beauty retailer that provides a one-stop shopping destination for mass and prestige beauty products. Their values include, commitment, honesty, respect and passion.  With that said let's get to the review.

What L.A Girl says: Making their much anticipated debut, Glazed Lip Paints give the intensely pigmented appearance of a lipstick, with the ease and glossy finish of a lip gloss. Glazed collection includes 18 of the most sought-after, trendsetting colors while providing long lasting, hyper glossy, ultra rich color to the lips. This proven iconic product offers shades that range from nudes to brights to deep berries. Cool and nourish your lips with the added benefits of vitamin E and peppermint oil.

Packaging:  The packaging is pretty impressive, it comes in a cute and slim .40oz/12ml squeezable tube with a plastic slant applicator.

Texture: It is highly pigmented, super glossy with a mild shine.

My Thoughts: I am not a fan of lip gloss, but recently I've decided to be open and  try different things. I used the glazed lip paint in bombshell for the first time on my birthday, and I really liked it. The color payoff is also very good as you can see from the swatches and my lips. I'm not so particular about the peppermint smell though, but would have preferred if it had more of a fruity smell. One thing I noticed about the glazed lip paint is that, if you apply it directly on your lips it can dispense too much product and get very messy, so its better to squeeze out a little quantity at the back of your hand and apply with a lip brush. The Glazed Lip Paint has a staying power of about 3-4 hours, but due to the glossy finish it tends to slide off the lips after a while. Another good thing about this product; It is liquid base, so you can always mix 2 colors to customize your own shade...very cool right?

Overall:  A little goes a long way, and you can always carry it in your hand bag if you need to touch up during the day. It's inexpensive and a fair alternative to OCC Lip Tars and Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipstick.

Would I recommend? Yes I would, as a matter of fact I just ordered 2 new shades....
